Technical Background

A hub centre for the uplink server and streaming will be installed by UCN within the residential complex in order to reduce the general running costs. The internal hubs ensures TV and further applications will continue to be supplied even when offline (e.g power problems). The use of PLC technology (powerline) induces the signal directly through the power supply and with it in every room and every plug socket in the building. A modem is no longer required. Community rooms will also be connected using this concept and integrated into the UCN high speed network. A corresponding uplink connection to the UCN data centre is required.
